For quick response to the market demand and customer special requirements, the paper presents parametric modeling method based on the product family to perform the quick design of new product. It takes the typical products as main model to establish the enterprise product family and utilizes component and part families to make up the new products. This technology can be characterized as the ideal tool for the quick design by means of existing design know - how, so that we can satisfy the customer＇s needs and requirements as fast as possible.
