Contemporary eco-poetry manifests the strongest consciousness of science, be it in depth or width, and it creates a new model and space for the communion of science and poetry. All of this can be ascribed to the historical situation and scientific context, in which eco-poetry forms and grows, and the subsequent ecological concern and purpose of eco- poetry. The most obvious result of the dialogue between science and eco-poetry is the alteration of the aesthetic orientation of the latter. Namely, eco-poetry prefers the anti-aesthetic to the traditional aesthetic, depicting and honoring the " ugly" aspects of nature that are normally neglected, eclipsed, repelled and even suppressed in traditional nature poetry. As a result, eco-poetry transcends traditional nature poetry in an aesthetic way.
