A portable ECG display system for neuroprotective treatment is described, and it is developed by a single chip computer AT89C51 and a liquid crystal graphic display（LCD）. It can provide immediate, accurate, and high resolution display of ECG waveform, display therapy parameters and control therapy process. The hardware and software design of the interface of AT89C51 and LCD are presented. It has the advantage of small size, low cost and easy operation, etc.
