《榆树下的欲望》和《雷雨》原型叙事结构之比较

摘要 《雷雨》是曹禺的第一个戏剧作品,也是中国话剧成熟的标志,它的诞生,在20世纪的中国话剧界,掀起了一场史无前例的"雷雨"。虽然曹禺一再否认自己对他人的借鉴,但是无论情节发展、主题意蕴还是象征隐喻,曹禺的《雷雨》受到尤金.奥尼尔《榆树下的欲望》的显著影响,已经被相当多的研究者所关注。依据加拿大著名文艺理论家诺思洛普.弗莱的原型批评理论,对两部剧作的原型叙事结构进行比较。 Thunderstorm is Cao Yu's first play, as well as the symbol of the maturity of Chinese modem drama. Its birth has raised one unprecedented "thunderstorm" in the 20th eentury's Chinese modem drama circle. Although Cao Yu denies himself repeatedly to other people's model, but regardless of the plot development, the subject implication and symbolic metaphor, Thunderstorm receives remarkable influence of Desire under the Elms by Eugene ONeill, which was already paid attention to by quite many researchers. The prototype narrative structures of the two plays are compared on the basis of the prototype criticism theory by Canadian renowned literary arts theoretician Northrop Frye.
