胡锦涛总书记在"纪念《告台湾同胞书》发表30周年座谈会"上的重要讲话,在精辟、深刻总结过去30年对台工作实践、成果和经验的基础上,主要论述有二:一是从和平发展的目标、两岸同胞共同推动和平发展与下一阶段的主要工作三个方面,论述了两岸关系和平发展的总体设想与战略架构;二是针对两岸关系和平发展的规律、特点及任务,从六个方面提出新的论述,集中体现出对台政策、理论的重大创新。

The Important Talk Made by General Secretary Hu Jingtao in the Commemoration for 30th Anniversary of the Publication of The Letter to Compatriots in Taiwan summarizes precisely and profoundly the practice, achievements and experience in work on Taiwan in the past 30 years. His talk falls into two parts. First, a general picture and strategic framework have been depicted from such three aspects as the aim of peaceful development, the joint efforts to push forward the peaceful development by compatriots on both sides, and the major work in the near future; second, with respect to the explored from law, characteristics and aims of the six aspects with a focus on the poli peaceful development across Taiwan Straight, new theories have been cies toward Talwan and the theoretical breakthroughs.
