女性主义的悖论——从《到灯塔去》看伍尔夫的家庭观

Paradox on Feminism

弗吉尼亚.伍尔夫在其代表作《到灯塔去》中,塑造了一位大地之母形象的女主人公——拉姆齐夫人。作者对这位出色的女性形象赞誉有加,然而,通过细读和严格的定性分析,我们发现在这位近乎完美的女主人公身上,时常会显现出她对自身处境的困惑与不满。实际上,通过拉姆齐夫人这一人物形象,伍尔夫探讨了妇女的两难处境这一主题,从而表现了作家的女性主义立场的一个侧面,即对妇女在社会中的定位的思考。

Virginia Woolf created a primordial goddess who composed of the major female characters of pagan myth.After our close reading and qualitative analyses,we find paradox in the quasi-perfect heroine.She was puzzled and confused about her situation.In the matter of fact,the novel examined the challenges women face between being mothers and being artists,from the perspectives of a mother,daughter and artist.Hence,we can get some profiles of the author＇s female stance,i.e.Woolf＇s contemplation on the females＇ social orientation.
