摘要
英语专业学士论文写作既是检验英语专业教学质量的重要指标,也是培养学生综合运用语言知识和专业知识的过程,又是突出专业优势的重要环节。本文从学术论文写作课程设置、毕业论文的写作过程与结果、学生二语学术写作能力和逻辑思维能力等方面指出了毕业论文写作中存在的主要问题。在分析了过程法和结果法优缺点的基础上,提出了针对英语专业学士论文写作的综合方法与模式,既注重学生的写作策略,又注重"目标文本"的体裁特征。
English major BA thesis writing is a significant index of English major teaching and an important learning process for students to incorporate language skills with content knowledge.This essay will first identify prominent problems with English major BA thesis writing in Chinese EFL context.Based on a discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of product-oriented and process-oriented pedagogical practices,the paper aims at proposing an integrated approach to empower student writers with strategic awareness of how to draw out their potentials as well as with explicit knowledge on generic conventions of the target discourse.
