College music education predicament is a fact.To get out of the predicament,the teachers who play a leading role in teaching should take the responsibility.This article talks about different essences and functions of pop music.Teachers should broden their minds and break though the contraints of textbooks so the students can appreciate beauty,create beauty and perfect their personality from pop music which they love.
