Religious Culture and Life Meaning

随着物质生活的大幅改善,人们精神生活需求日益高涨,只有建设好共同精神家园才能满足这一需求,而人生意义的探求在精神生活中具有导向性。文章基于当代宗教社会学研究成果,突破以西方模式来看待东方宗教的狭隘视角,认为宗教的共相乃有超越性的人生意义指引,从而包容了在中华民族精神生活及人生指向也起着重要作用的"天"及无神论信仰。衡量人生意义的尺度与在人生意义评价中存在量与质的关系,指出盲目追求超验的危险及中世纪宗教的人生意义导向的消极性,强调追求积极的人生意义已成为当代宗教文化的主流。

Along with the large improvement of material life, the demand of people＇s spiritual life grows higher and higher. To meet this demand we have no choice but to construct the common spiritual home completely, while searching for people＇s life meaning plays a leading role in their spiritual life. This paper assimilates research results of the contemporary religion sociology, breaks through the narrow angle of view which judges the Eastern religion with the Western pattern, and points out that the common essence of various religious leads transcendentally to the meaning of people＇s life. Thus this paper contains the belief of ＂Tian＂ and belief of antitheism, which plays significant roles in the spiritual life and the life orientation of Chinese nation. Furthermore, it also analyzes the standard measuring life meaning in depth, and the relationship between the quality and the quantity in the process of evaluating people＇s life meaning. Finally it indicates the danger of pursuing transcendentalism blindly and the negativity of life meaning oriented by the Middle Ages religion, and emphasizes that seeking positive life meaning has become the mainstream of the contemporary religious culture.
