An Analysis of Influential Factors in China's Industrial Sector Energy Intensity under Open Economy——An Empirical Analysis Based on Panel Data Models of the 31 Industries

摘要 本文运用中国工业31个行业1998年-2004年的面板数据,分析了能源价格、FDI的进入程度、进出口商品结构、工业内部的行业结构和R&D投资强度对中国工业能源强度的影响。研究发现,能源价格的上涨对提高工业能源利用效率有显著的促进作用;降低FDI的进入程度与R&D投资强度都有助于降低工业特别是高能源强度行业的能源强度;降低高能源强度行业的出口额在工业出口总额中的比重,有利于降低高能源强度行业的能源强度,进口商品结构变化对工业能源强度没有显著影响;降低高能源强度行业的工业增加值在整个工业增加值中的比重,有助于降低全工业行业和低能源强度行业的能源强度。 This paper empirically examines the effect of energy price, the proportion of FDI in industries sectors, import and export product composition, industrial structure and R&D investment intensity to the industrial energy intensity, based on the panel data of China' s 31 industrial sectors during the period from 1998 to 2004. The results show that increases in energy price contribute to a significant decline in industrial sectors. With a rise in the proportion of FDI in industrial sectors, energy intensity in industrial sectors increases, in particular for high energy - consuming sectors. The enhancement of R&D investment intensity leads to a rise in energy intensity, especially for high energy - consuming sectors. The decline in the proportion of the exports in high energy - consuming sectors will help to reduce energy intensity in high energy - consuming sectors. Chang in import product composition don' t significantly affect industrial energy intensity. And changes in industrial structure among industrial sectors have a significant effective influence on energy intensity in China' s 31 industrial sectors and low energy - consuming sectors.
