摘要
亚历克斯·哈里的《根》与托尼·莫里森的《宠儿》在探索黑人历史,寻找黑人文化之根与自我,控诉白人对于黑人的残酷剥削与压迫上有许多相似之处。通过对两部小说的分析,显示出美国黑人只有不忘记自己的非洲之根,不忘记黑奴制度下曾经遭受过的苦难,不忘记自己独特的文化传统,才能实现民族文化意识的觉醒。
Root of Alex Haley and Beloved of Toni Morrison both explore the history of black, search for cultural root and ego and complain the sufferings of blacks. The analysis of the two books reveals that the American blacks can realize the arousal of national cultural awareness by memorizing the African root, the suffering and the specific cultural tradition.
