The author commences on the procedures of modern Chinese city design, as well as the opportunities and problems accounted with the impact of globalization, describes the important effect of human factor in city design, points out that China should reference other coun- tries＇ schemes in the period of industrialization, seek way of urbanization which is suitable for Chinese national situation, pay attention to culture, and develop city human characteristic.
