彝族俐侎人很早就与茶结下了不解之缘,俐侎人有着古老而悠久的种茶和制茶史,茶在他们的生活中占据着重要的位置。俐侎人信仰万物有灵,在他们的观念里,茶是有灵魂的,因此要对"茶祖"进行祭拜,希翼得到"茶祖"的庇佑。而祭"茶祖"仪式又承载着许多浓厚的社会文化观念,具有丰富的文化内涵,已成为彝族俐侎人独特茶文化的一个组成部分。
