This article elaborated the new idea of high-starched middle-sized density-bearing stalk sorghum breeding, the new method, the breeding characteristic and the effect. It pointed out the short stalk density-bearing sorghum hybrid breeding is the high-yield way, the high starch sorghum hybrid＇s cultivation is the key to the claret-red sorghum liquor-making industry. So further improvement in plants type, heterocyst level maintaining can obtain a bigger achievement.
