It has become trendy, in recent years, for Beijingers to spend some, or a lot, of their spare time reading books in shuba（书吧）--a relatively new Chinese term that literally translates to ＂book bar＂, and which often refers to a privately owned reading room that offers Internet and restaurant and bar services.
