An Insight into Teaching Cultures in College English Teaching

在大学英语教学中进行文化导入是必要而且迫切的。文化导入应该屏弃传统"广播式"的导入模式而代之以"以教师为主导,学生为主体"的"交互式"模式,充分利用现有教材及现代化教学手段。同时,不忽视汉英文化对比,以使学生在未来能够顺利与英语文化的人交流并把博大精深的中华文化推介出去。

It is necessary and urgent to teach cultures in college English teaching. The traditional Broadcasting Mode should be rejected. Instead, An Interactive Mode with the teacher as a director and the student as an actor should be advocated, with the full use of current textbook and modem teaching facilities. Besides, the comparison between English and Chinese cultures couldn＇ t be neglected to ensure the smooth communication with English-speakers on the one hand and adequate introduction of Chinese cultures to them on the other.
