同声传译中的省力原则及其应用

Exploration to Effort-Saving Principle of Simultaneous Interpretation and Its Application

同声传译是一项高强度、注意力高集中的脑力劳动。译员在同传过程中需要竭尽全力,充分调动大脑资源,但仍不可避免地发生错译或漏译的现象。如何帮助译员减轻工作负担,以减少错译、漏译的次数是许多学者正在研究的问题。对此,提出了同声传译的省力原则,对该原则的定义、重要性和理论基础进行了论述,并通过实例探讨了在省力原则指导下的一些具体策略,以期为这一问题的解决提供一些思路。

Simultaneous interpretation （SI） is a highly intensive and concentrative mental activity. SI interpreter needs to exert every effort and fully maneuver mental resources during the process of SI. However,the phenomena of misinterpretation and miss of interpretation are still unavoidable. How to reduce the burden for SI interpreter so as to lessen their occurrence is an issue being studied by many scholars. This paper puts forward the effort-saving principle （ESP）,including its definition, importance and theoretical basis, and explores some practical strategies under the guidance of ESP in the hope of providing some enlightening ideas for solving the problem.
