高速公路具有车流量大、行车速度快等特点。一旦发生交通事故,多为车毁人亡,甚至造成多车连环追尾、死伤惨重的重特大恶性交通事故。基层高速交警除了在日常勤务中履行交通法规宣传职责,加大对交通参与者进行交通安全宣传和"五进"宣传力度外,应从贴近路面、贴近群众、贴近业主单位出发,在实际工作中寻找预防交通事故的切入点,强化交通安全管理,确保高速公路平安、畅通。

Traffic on highway is characterized with large volume and high speed. Once the traffic accident happen, the vehicles are usually destroyed and the passengers die, sometime even result in extraordinarily terrible traffic accident with behind collision of many cars and deaths. Traffic police on highways should not only propagandize the traffic laws and regulations as well as strengthen the propaganda of traffic security to the waffle participants in their daily services, but also seek for the breakthrough point for preventing traffic accidents in their practical work through nearing the roads, the masses and the organizations, so as to reinforce the management of traffic security and ensure the highways being safe and sound as well as smooth.
