这篇论文以美国前总统比尔.克林顿就其与莫尼卡.莱温斯基的性丑闻事件所发表的公开演说"我犯了罪"为例,分析了总统认同的复杂性。克林顿运用宗教和公共讲话文体把其身份与各种听众区分开来,从而保持其作为总统的身份。
This article reveals the complexity of a president's identities he performsin public discourses with the example of a case study on the speech "I Have Sinned"by Bill Clinton concerning the sexual affair with Monica Lewinsky. Clinton distinguishes himself from one identity to another in correspondence with the diversity of the audience using religious genre along with the genre of public speech to serve the purpose of preserving the identity as a president.
