八大山人生于明末清初,乃朱明宗臣,也是一位伟大的画家。他的身世坎坷复杂,习性狷狂孤介。本文对八大山人的"狂"进行全面剖析、探讨和论证,认定八大山人的"狂"不是癫狂,而是极度悲伤之时短暂失去控制的言行;是为了保护自己而假装癫狂的言行,是爱憎情绪和创作情感表露的言行,是被常人误解的正常言行。

Badashanren, a great artist, was an offspring of the first emperor of Ming Dynasty. The Ming Dynasty was replaced by Qing Dynasty when Badashanren was still a young prince, and then he started to live a hard and complicated life. He was regarded as a crazy man for a long time. But I think that Badashanren only pretended to be a crazy man and his odd action was a reflection to the inclemency of that time, after a careful study of his history.
