合作原则和礼貌原则是话语交际活动中的两个重要原则。在语言交际中,会话双方要默契的合作,使整个交谈过程所说的话符合交际的目的和方向。但是,在实际的交际过程中,一方为了某种特定的交际目的往往故意违背合作原则,进而成全其礼貌原则。在英诗中,特别是英诗中的爱情诗,对合作原作的刻意违反是诗人表达强烈情感、达到预期交际目的有效手段之一。在合作原则和礼貌原则的关照下,我们对英诗中的真情和假意将有更好的识辨能力。

Cooperative principle and Politeness principle are the two important hales in dialogue. In dialogues, beth sides should be cooperative with each other to carry on the dialogue toward certain purpose and direction. However, in practical communication, cooperative principle is often flouted for the sake of politeness principle. In English poetry, especially in English love poetry, the deliberate flouting of cooperative principle is one of the most effective ways poets employ to express his strong feelings and to win the heart of the other side. With the employment of cooperative principle and politeness principle, we can improve our critical appreciation of the sincerity and hypocrisy in English poetry.
