Palmer's Cultural Linguistics Approach to Script Theory and Its Implications for Their Translation

Sanford & Abelson的脚本理论认为,人们在交际中会在大脑中建构一个心理模型,激活用于理解语篇的认知脚本。在认知脚本的指导下,翻译过程中,脚本理论具有动态性和静态性。译者的翻译过程是认知脚本被激活的过程,译者应采取脚本的动态性和静态性结合的翻译方法,使译文更加通俗易懂,此外,在翻译过程中,译者还应遵循几点原则。

Sanford ＆ Abelson believe that people will construct a mental model and activate a scenario to interpret text when they communicate with each other. From the perspective of cognitive script, script theory is static and dynamic. Translators should combine the script static nature with the script dynamic nature in the process of translation, which is the activated process by the cognitive script with the aim of making versions become easier, and should comply with several principles.
