文化产业在世界上提出和引起关注已有半个世纪，但是至今没有统一的定义，也没有形成统一的称谓。它在美国叫版权产业，英国叫创意产业，两班牙叫文化消闲产业，在日本、韩国、荷兰、法国等叫文化产业，我国是在2000年10月党的“十五大”五中全会上首次使用“文化产业”一词，在党“十六大”上将“文化事业和文化产业”相提并论。

Traditional arts and crafts possesses all the essential elements as cultural industry,and it has been an important cultural industry in history.It has great influences and made contributions to Chinese Culture as well as art in the world.It also plays an important and special role in today's economy,culture and foreign exchanges.
