The spirit of globalization of Chinese contemporary fiber art

“纤维艺术”这个概念，是近几年被提出并逐渐得到国内艺术及设计界的认识。实际上，这一概念中的一些艺术形式很早就在我们身边存在，而这一概念的提出，使更多的编织艺术形式有了一个准确的定位。

When'fiber art'activities were prevailing in international art,our knowledge on'fiber art'was just remain in the understanding of carpet.However, when the first'From Lausanne to Beijing International Fiber Art Biennial Exhibition'held in Fine Arts Academy of Tsinghua University in Beijing in 2000,we found that the expressive language of fiber art that we have is no less than any other nations,we only lack the opportunity to express them out.Whats more,we didn't find any new ideas for creations which were internationally recognized for lack of communications and exchanges.
