My appreciation for pottery

一千余年的世界瓷都古镇景德镇造就了自己在陶瓷艺术上的优势和特色，几乎每一个朝代都有它的创造和发展，但主要表现在工艺手段和材质的改变。景德镇的传统瓷雕，以佛教题材占主导地位，在表现形式上是白瓷加彩，即三分材质七分打扮。

Jingde Town,a world porcelain ancient town with more than one thousand years history,forms its advantages and features in porcelian art.We can find its creations and developments in almost every dynasty, however,these products are different mainly in crafts means and using materials. When I came to Jingde Town in 1954,I found that the procelain carvings are basically using the same theme:buddhism.How to creat a new world and find a new path for porcelain is my life-long goal.How to reflect important transformations in different period of new China is also an important research subject.I believe that if the works of art represent today then it is more valuable to leave for tomorrow.
