Modernity or Classicalism——On the neoconservative critique to modern political ethics

新保守主义政治哲学认为,现代性政治伦理的危机就是理性主义、历史主义和个人主义的危机,它们导致政治的技术化、价值的虚无化和人的平庸化,而克服这种危机的途径就是重回以政治共同体和精英统治为基础的古典政治伦理。新保守主义的现代性批判具有深刻的意义,但也有明显的局限性,需要人们辩证对待。

Neoeonservative aries that the crisis of modem political ethics is the crisis of rationalism, historicism and individualism, which lead to technical polities, nihilist value and bota＇geois people. The way to conquer this crisis is returning to the classical political ethics, which is based on the political community and elite rule. There are both profound significanee and obvious limitation in neoconservative critique, which deserves a dialectic treatment.
