摘要
模糊限制语在新闻报道中的普遍使用越来越受到人们的重视。本文从模糊限制语的定义和语用角度对其进行分类,以《华盛顿邮报中》的几篇政治语篇为研究对象,分析和解释了模糊限制语在英语新闻报道中的语用功能及其具体应用。
The common use of hedges in news reports is attracting more and more attention. From hedges＇ definition and classification from pragmatic aspoct, This paper takes some political news from Washington Post as case study , analyses and elucidates the pragmatic functions and appliance of hedges in English news reports.
