作为语码转换过程的翻译过程

Translating as a Process of Code-switching

一般认为,语码转换是社会语言学研究的一个内容;比较普遍的看法是不会把翻译活动当作语码转换活动的。本文从语言交际的角度出发,把翻译的过程看作是语码转换的过程,并通过例子分析就这个观点进行阐述和讨论;本文认为,翻译活动与社会语言学研究中的语码转换活动在本质上是一样的,因此也认为翻译成品(译文)实质上是语码转换的结果。

It is generally assumed that code-switching is a sociohnguistic phenomenon and that only sociolinguists are interested in the study of code-switching. This paper looks at the translation process from a sociolinguistic and communicational perspective and argues that the translation process （ or translating） is a kind of code-switching because what the translator does is to translate the meaning of the source language text into that of the target language text by switching the code in the source text into another code in the other text.
