The Traditional Taoist Ethical Thoughts and Moral Construction

传统道家伦理思想对于当代中国社会的道德建构具有重要的意义和价值,道德建设能够起到一种社会"稳定器"和"减压阀"的作用。其现代意义表现在以下四个方面:一是贵生保真,顺任自然的伦理原则;二是"上德若谷"、"为而弗争"的宽容精神;三是超越生死、化同大道的人格追求;四是倡导人与自然和谐发展的生态伦理思想。我们应当重视和加强对道家伦理的研究,将其精华有选择、有目的地改造、整合到当前正在建构的当代社会的伦理道德体系中。

The traditional Taoist ethical thoughts possess great significance and value to the moral construction of contemporary chinese society. Moral construction which can play important roles of social stabilizer and relief valve. Its modem significance presented in the following four aspects： First, the ethical principles of preciousness life for fidelity and conforming to nature. Second, tolerant spirits of noble and moral quality and doing without contention. Third, personality pursuit to beyond life and death and simplify profound philosophy. The last point is to promote the ecological ethical thoughts for harmonious development between human and nature. We should attention and strengthen the research to the Taoist ethics, regard its essence selectively and purposefully reformed and integrated into the ethics and moral system which is under construction in the contemporary society.
