Analysis on the Social Reading and Library Services

图书馆是社会阅读不可忽视的重要中坚力量。开展社会阅读,推动社会文明进步,构建和谐社会,是图书馆自觉维护公民文化权益并为之提供服务的责任,是国家赋予图书馆的时代重任。文章从社会阅读的特点和意义、目前我国社会阅读的现状、图书馆开展社会阅读的必要性和措施等方面进行了论述,力图与同仁们达成共识,以此推动并深入地开展图书馆的社会阅读服务。

Library is an important mainstay force that cannot be ignored for social reading. Developing social reading, promoting social civilization progress and constructing harmonious society are the library＇s responsibility to consciously safeguard the cultural rights and interests of citizens and provide services for it and also are the historical task given by the state. This paper elaborates from such aspects as the characteris- tics and significance of social reading, the current situation of social reading in our country and the necessities and measures for hbrary to develop social reading and so on and tries best to reach a consensus with the peers so as to promote and deeply develop the library social reading services. 6 refs.
