论风俗与国家权力和宗教信仰之关系——以火葬为例

On the Relationship between Mores and National Power and Religion——Illustrating with Cremation

风俗之事关系国计民生,不仅是人们宗教信仰的依托,还影响到国家的统治秩序。本文欲以火葬这一风俗为例,通过分析我国古代火葬的兴废,来揭示风俗与国家权力和宗教信仰之间的关系,并指出,风俗的改变根源于人们宗教信仰的变化,仅凭国家力量的强制推行是无法实现的。

Mores is important for our daily lives which is the base of national control and reflects people＇s religion. This article will take the cremation for example. Through analyzing the prevailing and declining of the cremation in ancient China, the author tries to reveal the relationship between mores and national power and religion, and point out that the change of mores depends on the change of people＇s religion, which can＇t be realized only by national power.
