摘要
需求分析是专门用途英语教学研究的基础,影响教学目标及教学方法,是教学大纲制定及教材设置的前提。John Munby与Tom Hutchinson& Alam Waters提出的需求分析对于ESP教学提供有效理论支撑,本文试图比较两种需求分析,探讨专门用途英语对大学英语EGP教学中的实践价值与有效性问题。
Needs analysis is the groundwork of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) teaching, it affects employing of teaching targets and teaching methods, meanwhile it is the precondition for designing teaching syllabus and choosing teaching materials. The needs analyses put foreword by John Munby and Tom Hutchinson & Alam Waters provides available theoretical support to ESP teaching. This paper mainly compares these two kinds of needs analyses, and discusses the problems of practical value and validity that ESP plays in the college English teaching.
