It was introduced that the properties and applications of isobutene-isoprene rubber（IIR）, halogenated isobutene-isoprene rubber, and developmental focus of the manufacturing technology. The polymerization reactor for the IIR improved, the slurry stabilization technology,the process control technology and the modification diluents etc. had been made giant progress. The research and innovation would lead to the development of new initiator systems, new polymerization technology and the cationic controlled polymerization.
