Construction of hospital information system(HIS) is explored from scientific and technological perspectives:adapt the staging of software and network development to the concrete conditions, e. g. , size of hospital, role delineation, types and quantities of services; expand HIS accessibility so as to serve not only highly trained experts, but also a larger number of users, among whom mastery of informatics and computer technology remains to be further raised in a flexible as well as planned way; make appropriate and timely balance between HIS reform, development, technological upgrading and relative stability; take into full account the trend of accelerated development of science and the technology of HIS when working out plans for software, hardware, and professionals'development; and coordinate the activities of HIS and other departments of hospital.
