The causes leading to shaft no. 2 vibration for unit no. 1 in Meizhouwan Power Plant have been analysed. It is believed from analysis that the vibration is mainly a rubbing vibration at the position of bearing no. 2, including the shaft- packing, oil retainer, and bearing shoe proper. The repair technology, quality requirements, and points to pay attention in inspection and disposal have been given,thoroughly eliminated the problem of vibration trouble in the low load range of unit.
