The instruction design of English film appreciation should be based on the cultural dimensions of the film as the main content. On the basis of helping students understand historical and cultural backgrounds and analyzing the use of modem artistic means on the creative process of the film, teachers can not only enrich students＇ socio - cultural connotations, but also stimulate their thinking.
