Protection of Coastal Wetlands in Bohai Rim

环渤海沿岸湿地对于净化入海前的水质、代替大坝拦蓄洪水、减少暴雨损失、调节气候、增加生物多样性等具有重要作用。减少、景观破碎化、植被退化等问题。应不断建立、完善湿地的基本资料库,恢复重建被破坏的湿地,并采取科教宣传、制定相关法律等措施保护受到威胁的湿地,实现可持续性发展的宏伟目标。

The coastal wetlands in Bohai Rim have important effects on water purification, flood buffering as substitute of dams, reduction of losses from storms, climate regulation and enhancement of biodiversity. These wetlands are faced with the shrinking areas, landscape fragmentation and vegetation degradation. It is recommended to establish and improve the basic database of the wetlands, and rehabilitate the damaged wetlands. Science extension and education, development of relevant laws and other measures should be promoted to protect the threatened wetlands in order to achieve the goal of sustainable development.
