This paper introduces the construction method of self-anchored suspension bridge applied to The Great Cannel on Beijing road. It mainly focuses on the important steps during the whole courses of the bridge＇s construction, such as lifiting method and order of steel box girder, the overall system conversion from temporarily anchored to self-anchored, incremental launching control of saddles pre-displace ment and the force adjusting of temporarily anchor. The results could provide reference for the construction of similar bridges in the future.
