To Improve Artistic Quality of New Poetry in Inheriting Traditional Metrical Poetry

中国新诗发生和发展过程中,人们却有意无意地忽视对旧诗音律的继承,从而造成百年新诗诗体建设迄未成功,直接影响到作为现代韵文的新诗艺术质量。百年新诗艺术遭人诟病主要是其散文化、大白话、自由化等,涉及到的主要就是新诗的语言形式和格律体式。要推动中国新诗艺术质量的提高,就需要正面提出解决好自身的音律问题,而解决这一问题的关键就是继承和发展中国传统诗律这一基础。

In the development of Chinese New Poetry, poets have neglected the heritage of traditional metrical poetry consciously or unconsciously, which have impacts on artistic quality of Chinese New Poetry. New Poetry has some linguistic and formal defects, for poets enjoy too much freedom of using too much prose and vernacular expressions. The solution should be to inherit and develop the traditional Chinese meters.
