The alterations of late long-term potention (L-LTP) and Paired-pulse facilitation (PPF)in hippocampal dentate gyms (DG) in adult rats following developmental lead exposure were studied in vivo by electrophysiological techniques. The results demonstrated that the lead exposure caused a decrese process of L-LTP and lasting time induced by excitatory postsynatic potentiations (EPSPs) and population spikes (PSs). It indicated that lead might impair the synthesis new protein PPF amplitude and the width of PPF wave. It indicated that lead might impair the post-synaptic NMDA receptor.
