白桦派骁将志贺直哉在日本近代文坛上有"小说之神"之誉。其唯一的长篇小说《暗夜行路》描述了主人公的道德灵魂活动由阴郁到明朗、由争斗到调和的漫长曲折过程,在其心路历程中,俄底浦斯情结伴随始终。基于恋母情结因素的影响,主人公最终突破了由母亲和妻子"性过失"带来的传统伦理意识中烦恼的瓶颈,走进一个美的、和谐的、观照的新世界。

Shiga Naoya is one of the most important representatives of Shirakaba school in modern Japanese literary history. His only novel Walk at Night gives an account of the hero＇s long journey from the very beginning. By breaking through the restriction of traditional ethics resulting from the sexual errbrs committed by his mother and his wife, the hero finally overcomes Oedipus Complex and steps into a beautiful, harmonious and contemplative world.
