高精铜及铜合金板带材是我国铜加工领域重要的经济增长点，具有广阔的市场发展空间，其典型的特点是：产品性能向高强、高导化发展，产品厚度向超薄化发展，公差、板型向高精密化方向发展，表面质量向零缺陷方向发展，产品长度向超长化方向发展。目前我国急需的高精铜及铜合金板带材品种、性能特点及技术要求如下。
The paper reviews the varieties,production processes,equipments and marketing of copper and copper alloys strips at home and abroad,analyzes their development trends and points out that specializing,precisezing and building the energysaving, non pollution,continuous and automatic production lines are the directions of China's copper strip industry.
