图式理论与大学英语教学

Traditional English reading pedagogy prevents the development of students＇ reading ability. The schema theory challenges the backward pedagogy, and makes a great contribution to the reform of reading teaching. The paper gives a brief introduction about Schema theory and its importance in English reading, and discusses how to make good use of this theory in the process of reading.
