Women PhD.is a unique scene in the business. China Entrepreneur interviewed eight women PhDs in several companies,most of whom have science or engineering background.Out of interest or opportunity,they are able to be technology operators or general managers or even running their own business.They are Xu Jian,CTO of IBM Greater China,Chen Yan,VP of GE Healthcare China,An Liqun,Hardware development director of Shanda,Chen Xiaowei,president of NCTY,Yan Wangjia,chairman of Venus. Some of these women get promotion directly to the top management team,some choose a DINK family out of working pressure,and some make a good balance between the roles of CEO and wife.What's in common though is that they have extraordinary perseverance and clear logic,which explains why they can pursue much longer study in their life.And indeed,the acquired ability in PhD period becomes the strong support for their business career.
