语言、文化与翻译密切相关,若要把翻译做好,就要处理好与语言和文化这两者的关系。隐喻是一种具有鲜明文化特色的修辞手法,进行翻译时不可避免会造成信息的走失。该论文指出在翻译过程中,具有文化色彩的隐喻信息走失的情况,并提出几种具体的补偿手段以减少翻译中信息的损失。

Langnage, culture, and translation are closely related. Thus, language and culture should be well handled in order to produce a good translation; Metaphor, a rhetorical device, which bears cultural features, may inevitably causes the loss of information. This paper points out several cases of the loss of cultural information, and then lists some methods to reduce the loss.
