语篇的认知机制探索是语篇教学的核心,对之研究有助于培养学生的逻辑思维,提高他们的英语学习兴趣,因为语篇过程是把多维的世界、抽象的概念,同时并存的状态或同时发生的事件线性化的过程。由于语言符号与思维对象之间的象似性,主位结构、信息结构与衔接结构才能彼此照应,保障语篇语义的自然顺序的推进,形成了不同的主位推进模式,其中常见的有平行型、延续型、派生型、总结型、集中型与交叉型等六种类型。在语言象似性的作用下,缺乏语篇标记的隐性连接成为主位推进模式的一大特点,反映了语篇的连贯就是心智的连贯。

Exploration of the cognitive mechanism of a text is the core of textual teaching, which helps the students to develop their logical inference and their interest in English learning, for text forming is a linear process of multi-dimensional world, abstract concepts, concurrence of states or events. Due to the iconicity between language symbols and human thinking, there is the interplay of thematic, informational and cohesive structures to press forward the natural semantic sequences of a text, forming a variety of patterns of thematic progression, typically the parallel, extended, derived, conclusive, centralized, and cross thematic progressions. Under the influence of language iconicity, implicit conjunction without discourse markers constitutes one trait of the patterns of thematic progression, revealing that the coherence of a text is the coherence of the mind.
