Why Did History Compiled by Government Appear in Northern Qi Dynasty

北齐设馆修史标志着史官制度的重大变化。它之所以出现在北齐,而非北周,更非东晋南朝,是由于北朝史官制度的确立和完善推进了国史编撰,北朝史家的良史意识催生了以专人专职修史的编纂思想,以及北齐比北周更多地继承了北魏—东魏的史学传统。

History Compiled by Government marked the important change of the system of official history in Northern Qi Dynasty. Why did it appear in Northern Qi Dynasty and not Northern Zhou Dynasty and Eastern Jin Dynasty and Southern Dynasties？ Because the establishment and creation of the system of official history improved the compilation of state history, and because historiographers＇ consciousness of true history brought out the idea of historiography with single point responsibility and sole duty in Northern Dynasties, and because Northern Qi Dynasty inherited Northern Wei Dynasty and Eastern Wei Dynasty＇ s tradition of historiography more than Northern Zhou Dynasty.
