在经历环境决定论、人地或然论与征服自然论之后,人地关系和谐成了全球共识。可持续发展是实现人地关系和谐之道。可持续发展可以理解为一定时期内经济社会的环境资本、经济资本、人力资本和社会资本形成、互动、转化。不同类型资本及同类资本内部的替代与互补,实现各要素间动态平衡是人地关系和谐的根本保证。

After a bitter taste of geographical determinism, man-land probabilism and the doctrine of conquering nature, there has emerged the idea of harmony between human and nature that has received world-wide acceptance. Sustainable development is the approach to realizing this harmony because it can be interpreted as the forming, interacting and transforming among environmental capital, economical capital, human capital and social capital at a certain period. The substitution and supplement among different types of capital or within it, and the realization of a dynamic balance among different factors are the basic guarantee for this harmony.
