摘要
英汉语散文都十分讲究语言音乐美,其音乐美主要通过声音节奏和意义节奏来实现。散文的音韵和节奏传达了情感,营造出情调和意境。散文研究与翻译必须充分考虑到语言的音乐美,优秀的散文翻译应该传达出原文语言的音乐美。本文通过实例分析,探讨采用语音补偿、节奏复制、衬字法、语气保留等手段来传达原文的音乐美,以使译文具有原文的形式美、内容美和风格美,使译语读者获得与源语读者相同或相近的审美感受。
English and Chinese prose is brimmed with musicality, which is mostly embodied by cadence and meaning rhythm. The phonetic rhetorical figures and rhythm convey the writers＇ feelings and produce emotional appeal and artistic conception. Prose study and translation should not be void of musicality, or the aesthetic values of an essay will be paled. Based on case studies, this paper gives a tentative research on the application of such strategies as sound compensation, rhythm reproduction, words insertion and mood maintainance to convey the musicality of the original text so to keep beauty in form, beauty in content and beauty in style of the original text in translation.
