Equivalent strain criterion for hot cracking prediction

从热裂产生的液膜理论出发，根据凝固过程温度场和应力场、应变场的数值模拟结果，提出了热裂形成的等效应变判据；揭示了在变截面棒形铸件中，热裂总是发生在等效应变最大的区域中；这一结论与变截面铸件的热裂实验结果相吻合．

Based on the liquid film theory of hot crack formation and results of numerical simulation of solidification and thermal strains, equivalent strain is proposed to serve as the criterion for hot cracking. It is also revealed that positions of hot cracks in bar shape castings with variable cross sections are always corresponding to the maximum zone of equivalent strains. The results agree with experiments as well.
